Hair Shape and Face Shape
This article will discuss a few different kind of head shapes you women out there can possibly have, and some tips for each type of shape.
First we’ll start with a ‘square’ shaped head. If you have curly hair and a square head, try soft and textured layers around your face. You have strong features so you need to soften them up a bit.
If you want a fringe, try a look that just barely touches your eyebrows and it longer on the sides and layered. Also, if you lighten your hair a bit you will soften your square face a bit.
Definitely avoid long styles that accentuate your jaw. This is the opposite of what you want to do.
For a round face hairstyles you want to lengthen the look of the face. Don’t go for any type of fort blunt fringe as that will only emphasize the roundness of the face. A long, wispy fringe will look much better and elongate the appearance of the face.
You should avoid any type of chin length hair or any type of style which is circular in shame. Don’t part your hair in the middle, either. If you part, make it on the sides and sweep the hair.
Next up is an oval face. This face shape is good for almost any type of style. If you want long hair, you can add soft layers throughout the whole head. If you want to go very short, you can pull off most bobs as well.
If you have a long face shape, short styles tend to look better as it will make your face appear wider. Layered bobs will look nice, with side swept fringes. Avoid any type of straight and shoulder length style, as this will only accentuate the length of your face. Most women with this face shape look their best when it’s chin length or shorter.
